"That was by far the best experience of my life! I learned so much that I felt like I was going to crack right down the middle!! I just have one thing to say (yeah right), but here it goes... It's no longer "business as usual" around here. I LOVED meeting with you guys again and I learned more than my mind could ever process in one sitting! I loved meeting my 20 newest friends and I look forward to keeping in touch. I agree with Jerry - I'm ready for round 2! It was the best money I've ever spent! I love you all!"

"I've been in Atlanta all week working with four of the most talented photographers I think i've ever met. They are the four partners that make up LaCour Photo. Andrew, Rachel, Mark and Erin, thank you so very much for all of your help and inspiration."

"This past week I attened the LaCour workshop: the business of storytelling which was held in Atlanta, Georgia. As you may know, LaCour photographed my wedding! This was an intimate look at how to operate one's business more efficiently, how to create systems within my business and outlining some basic marketing strategies. It was fun to hang out with a bunch of 'photo-geeks' (as I fondly refer to any group of photographers that get together and end up chatting about f-stops, camera focus points, shutter speeds, etc). Donna Shoemaker, my up-coming assistant attended with me and we had a fabulous time and came away inspired.

"The workshop was so awesome! I learned so much about photography and about myself. I was inspired by all the great images and ideas behind what you guys do. I was encouraged about mine own work and the path I have taken. I know my biggest shortcoming and it's fixable fast. I shot a wedding Saturday night and was excited about looking at the back of my camera! It was a fantastic experience. Thank you so much to Andrew, Rachel, Mark and Erin for all the time and attention they gave every one of us. You guys definitely raised the bar for workshop experiences. You treated us as wonderfully as you treat your clients. As a bonus, we now have 20 new friends!

Can I please crash the April one? I want to come back!"

"Tammy, a staff photographer and I attended the Lacour's Business of Storytelling workshop last week and it was the BEST workshop experience I've ever had. They showed you their entire operation and I know my studio will change because of their workshop. From how they tell stories, to image capture, to post processing to customer service - it was a week that was packed with information that will make a real difference for us in how we shoot and manage our weddings. They are absolutely amazing and anybody who's looking for an amazing wedding photography workshop should consider LaCour. It's the best money I've ever spent on training."

About LaCour

LaCour started in 2004 as two couples in their mid-20s (Andrew Niesen & Rachel LaCour Niesen and Mark and Erin Adams) working out of their parents' basements, meeting clients at noisy coffee shops and charging $2,500 for unlimited wedding photography coverage.

After two short years, LaCour built its own studio and charges $10,000+ per wedding. Ever since, LaCour has been rapidly becoming one of the premiere wedding photography studios in the Southeast. LaCour accomplished this by building a distinctive brand, establishing long-lasting relationships with clients and focusing on attention to detail. LaCour's clients know they aren't simply buying eight hours of coverage and an album; they are buying an experience they can't find anywhere else.

We've found that people are willing to pay more for photography when they feel connected to something bigger than themselves - by buying into an experience, they are investing in their family legacy.

LaCour started where many of our colleagues are today. We were confident in our photography, but were unsure where we fit into the market and struggled to create a unique experience for clients that had lasting impact.

Our goals are to teach photographers how to create an experience for their clients that transcends products and services, to inspire photographers by showing our work and to encourage community-building through shared knowledge.
